Alongside this, they have grown the TwinSpires online horse racing wagering business and successfully ventured into regional casino gaming properties. This robust expansion positions Churchill Downs Incorporated as a key player in the entertainment and gaming sector in the United States, bringing a rich tradition of motorsport and gaming experiences while actively embracing innovation and diversity in their workforce.

Position Overview
  • The Ellis Park Marketing Manager role is a critical position within Churchill Downs Incorporated, specifically focused on the Ellis Park Racing & Gaming property. This role requires a professional responsible for planning, developing, and executing comprehensive marketing, advertising, public relations, admissions strategy, and sponsorship programs.
  • The Marketing Manager's main mission is to successfully drive brand awareness, increase visitor engagement, and promote revenue growth at Ellis Park. This position requires working closely with internal teams, external agencies, media partners, and community organizations to ensure cohesive, vibrant marketing campaigns that align with the company’s business goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all aspects of campaign creation and promotional efforts.
  • Managing the development and production of marketing materials.
  • Maintaining rigorous quality control by reviewing and approving advertising content prior to its release.
  • Analyzing marketing data and campaign performance to generate actionable insights for optimizing future marketing initiatives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, community groups, and business partners to enhance visibility and public engagement.
Responsibilities
  • Overseeing Admissions operations at Ellis Park to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Managing accurate admissions reporting, reconciling data, and ensuring service standards are met.
  • Monitoring attendance metrics, event occupancy, and staffing efficiency to adjust operational strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of relevant marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets and analyzing financial performance.
  • Prior experience working with advertising agencies and/or public relations firms required.
  • Familiarity with gaming or casino operations required.
  • Strong background in sponsorship development and/or event partnerships preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Commission (KHRGC) license.
