I was terrified of surgery, and thankfully, Dr. James created a customized treatment plan for me that avoided surgery altogether. My journey wasn’t easy—I had to use a TPA appliance, rubber bands, and break long-standing thumb-sucking habits, which even triggered a year of anxiety until I found healthier ways to self-soothe. I know I wasn’t the easiest patient—every little concern I had, I thought was a huge issue—but Dr. James and his team never made me feel like a burden.
