Abhaya is a truly special place. I’ve tried many yoga studios in Brooklyn, and there’s a reason this has become my go-to, even though there are studios closer to where I live. Peop... Abhaya is a truly special place. I’ve tried many yoga studios in Brooklyn, and there’s a reason this has become my go-to, even though there are studios closer to where I live. People come from all over the city to take class here, especially with Tara, and once you experience it, you can understand why. Tara, the owner who teaches several classes throughout the week, is exceptional. She has helped me work through injuries, and guided me into poses I never imagined I’d be able to do. Her teaching is thoughtful, challenging, and deeply attentive. The teachers Tara has trained are impressive, and Abhaya has some of the best hands-on adjustments I’ve experienced, which speaks to the level of training and intention Tara brings.
