Absolutely mind blowing experience! I’ve wanted to take a sewing class for well over a decade and I’m just in awe of how Shauna takes all of the fear and anxiety away. She is the sewing whisperer and she will make the whole experience very approachable and easy to understand. She has taught these beginner classes a million times but after all this time she still delights in her students learning something new. This is quite heartwarming. I want to add that she is extremely flexible and generous. The stitch x stitch class is a full day and my toddler had not spent a whole day away from me… (I was very nervous about taking this class) but after lunch time she allowed for me to stay in the class with him while he napped on my lap and accommodated this experience for me. It was absolutely wonderful and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this project to life! Read More

Shauna’s intro class, Stitch x Stitch, was a blast! I’ve “sort of” known how to sew for years, but always found the sewing machine daunting because there was so much I didn’t understand about it. Shauna cleared up all of those questions with invaluable tips about how sewing machines work, how needles are positioned, how stitches are constructed, and how to look for a sewing machine that will make you excited to come back for more…which I now absolutely am. I am now making more tote bags following the pattern we used in class, and looking forward to taking many more classes at Needles and Knots! Read More
