This place was amazing! I went during their Wed evening and Saturday afternoon open sew, and they had everything! Cutting stations, supplies, sewing machines! And the two teachers were so knowledgeable but they also didn’t hover. They have so many classes not just for sewists but for all fiber arts (looking at you crochet and knitters) I will return again and again and bring fabric donations to lessen my stash! Donating to I Have a Dream Foundation - Los Angeles has been a very rewarding experience for me. I have had the opportunity to speak to alumni who have graduated from the IHADLA "Dreamer" student programs and I really got at a gut level what a difference this foundation makes in the lives of children and teenagers - as well as their families - who live in the poorer communities of Los Angeles. Education and a change of perspective opens up opportunities for these kids in the world. It is great to see the successes they become and how they give back as well.

A true delight to visit the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, either for classes, private lessons, concerts, or to enjoy a relaxing moment in their magnificent garden entry area. During COVID, many virtual events are available, as well as remote lessons and learning. Music inspires, and so does the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, and their building is a real gem.
