Oh I love this place! It's been an Anchorage institution for as long as I can remember. The newer location and beautiful new building is always fun to visit. I love the smell, the light, the rotating art on the walls, the friendly staff, and the great selection of materials.
They have a wonderful selection: easels, paint (acrylic, watercolor, oil, every kind), papers, brushes, pastels, drafting and drawing supplies, pens, palettes, notebooks, everything I need.
The framing shop is a nice component of the business and I enjoy seeing their regular newsletter and social media feeds that keep me up to date on workshops and upcoming shows.
I even love the little coffee shop they've added. It's worth getting as many of my supplies as I can here, locally, and keeping this staple of the art community strong and alive.
