We got to see a snake milking, which is a first for us. Also, I got to hold a snake, too. The only thing I could complain about is that the information signs need to be updated since some are falling apart and unreadable. I would recommend this as a great stop for anyone liking snakes. I was expecting to be there maybe 2 hours, but we spent over 3 hours there. We all left very happy for the experience. Read More

Our visit to Reptile World Serpentarium was an incredible experience! Owner and Herpetologist George Van Horn gave a very informative presentation. We learned that snake venom is a complex cocktail of proteins and enzymes that, while dangerous in nature, acts as a precision tool for modern medicine. Because venom is designed to target specific physiological systems (like blood pressure or nerve signals), scientists can isolate and modify these toxins to create life-saving treatments. After the presentation, George fearlessly showed us multiple cobras, which was a real highlight. We also got to see Vivian do a feeding of Steve, the alligator snapping turtle—it was fascinating to see him in action! Our guide, Tommy, was fantastic. He has a true passion for wildlife that shows in the way he speaks about all the animals. He even let us feed the Crocodile and hold a California King Snake. If you are in Florida, this is a must-visit spot for anyone interested in reptiles and medical scienc Read More

Pretty cool place. There aren't a whole lot of displays here, but for what little space they have, they pack a lot in. A bunch of turtles swimming and soaking in the sun. Over there are a couple of gators and at least one croc. All just chilling out. The real draw is the Serpentarium- all sorts of snakes and scaly creatures behind glass in there. One cobra, I think, took a liking to me. On our way out we talked to the fella there - letting us know a little history about the place. Interesting visit, we loved our time there. Read More

Super fun experience at the Serpentarium! While we missed the venom extraction presentation, we still had a fantastic time! My young daughter (9) is super interested in all things reptiles, but especially snakes. There were 40+ snakes to see, including many cobras! Beautiful and well cared for snakes were there, a couple alligators & a crocodile! The staff was super helpful, very friendly and even let us hold a smaller California King snake. We were also given some food to feed the turtles which was a very fun time as well. We'd love to visit again next time we're in town! Recommended visit for sure! Read More

Wow, impressive variety of snakes! So many of these exotic snakes you will never get to see. The snake aquariums were nicely kept. Couple alligators, croc, birds, turtles, monitor and iguana The staff is friendly and the gentleman with the cowboy hat gave us lots of info and went out of his way to show us the reptiles. Very impressive everything they do with snake venom. We toured the entire place in just a couple hours. Nice family visit! Read More

I first came here 20 years ago and wanted to come back. The only disappointment is that the guy isn't doing the venom shows anymore, which is too bad because that was awesome! Nevertheless, the variety of snakes, especially venomous ones, is second to none! So cool to see these beauties up close. The place does look a little run down both inside and out, but don't let that discourage you from going in. Highly recommend! Read More
