Decided I needed to know what my wife was yelling at me in Korean so I looked up language courses in Pasadena and gave these guys a shot. From the reviews, it’s not very informativ... Decided I needed to know what my wife was yelling at me in Korean so I looked up language courses in Pasadena and gave these guys a shot. From the reviews, it’s not very informative but here’s my take: worth it.First, they are located above Patagonia on Union street so look for the elevator to the second floor. It’s tucked away past conference rooms and other small offices and feels like it’s in a hotel hallway.Inside it’s wall to wall classrooms with a small checkout desk in front. There are language books lining the wall too. I signed up and bought the necessary books to learn Korean and met up with the group class on Tuesday night. My Korean teacher was very patient and thoughtful in explaining sounds and pronouncements for me. I fully enjoyed the 1.5 hr class and look forward to keeping it up so I can finally understand my wife when she’s mad at me.Highly recommend this school. Read More

And while all the classes have been very good, it is the Zoom instruction of her ASL instructor that motivated me to write this review. The Zoom classes have been fantastic--creative, rigorous, fun. My daughter looks forward to her twice a week Zoom calls with Nancy, and enjoys her homework assignments, as well. Her ASL skills have really developed! This is an updated review. I've been taking Spanish classes with PLC for a year. The biggest change is that they changed locations as of Feb 2026 and now have a parking lot with free parking which is a total game changer.I started with zero Spanish knowledge. After a year, I can maintain a basic conversation. If you have zero Spanish, I recommend taking the weekly class. Even though the class is 90min, they cover alot of information. They do assign homework but it's up to you to do it. There's no tests and no grades, so you attend class because you want to learn. I've attended 8 months of weekly classes.I also took the in person intensive (2 days a week from 9am-12pm) which is a lot for 4 weeks. And I took in person immersive class (4 days a week from 9am-12pm) for 6 weeks- where I was exposed to so much Spanish- the description says it all.The teachers are pretty good and they have their own style.
