I had to remove a very strong and beautiful set of nails I got done in Korea, and I was honestly very nervous because I previously had a terrible experience at a nail salon in Midtown Manhattan where they over-filed my nails with a drill and damaged them.
This time, I had a much better experience. I was able to remove my old nails at a reasonable price and get a simple gel manicure. My technician, Yan** Lin, did a really great job and handled my nails with care, which I truly appreciated.
As a foreigner, I don’t use Venmo and didn’t realize the tip wasn’t included in the price, so unfortunately I wasn’t able to leave a tip. If I visit again, I will definitely make sure to tip her properly!
The style may be a bit different from the ultra-detailed Korean nail standard I’m used to, but she has a cool, slightly aloof yet cute kind of friendliness that made the experience fun and comfortable.
