Our 7 year old has been learning guitar here for 5 months. His first teacher was better with older students it seemed, so he wasn’t enjoying the lessons as much as we’d hoped. We were able to move a different day with a different teacher, who is wonderful. He is experienced working with children and has done a great job. Our son has been really enjoying learning and is currently learning his first song! It’s clear he has been taught the basics, which is what we wanted from the lessons. Purple Deer was accommodating is changing days and we have been pleased with our son’s progress. There is also a parent waiting area, which is appreciated!

My daughter has been taking piano and vocal lessons at BOCO for over a year now, and she absolutely LOVES IT! Her teacher, Melanie Silva, has been such a perfect fit. She truly sees my daughter — her personality, her talent, and what motivates her — and has chosen songs she knows and enjoys, which makes such a difference in keeping her engaged.
While we started with piano, Melanie has thoughtfully mixed in vocals to keep things fresh and fun, tapping into what she knows will spark a long-term love of music. I can’t say enough about how much my daughter looks forward to her lessons each week and how much she’s grown under Melanie’s guidance. Highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVE school of music. My daughter asked to take piano lesson at the age of 5 and this was definitely our perfect match. The teachers and so kind, patient and knowledgeable. They make the music learning process such a fun experience! Also I can’t say enough amazing things about the ladies in the front office. We are greeted every single time with a smile and a friendly wave! They are so lovely and work magic with helping to reschedule lessons. They are a delight to deal with and see!
