Birmingham Jumpstart's mission is to empower teens and adults with tailored literacy and English-language programs, foundational education, and essential life skills Birmingham Jumpstart was founded on April 26, 2018, to continue education in Alabama. We serve as a public resource for: Native English Adult Literacy courses, ESL (specific classes designed for adult ELL students & English Language Acquisition), GED Preparation, Career Training, Digital Literacy, Family Literacy (parent and child attend class sessions together), Financial Literacy, Workplace Literacy, and Zoom Reading Vocabulary Class
