About Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston
Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston provides a home away from home for families with a child receiving care for a serious illness at one of our partner hospitals inside the Texas Medical Center. With 111 sleeping rooms across our 4 locations, and our JoyFULL Eats program, as well as other services we strive to keep families close, when it's needed the most. RMHCGH also provides convenient access to free medical care, like immunizations, directly to under-served, school-aged children right in their own neighborhoods.

I would like to write this 5 star review for the volunteers who carry-in meals on an almost daily basis. Families who are managing complex health issues including constant hospital... I would like to write this 5 star review for the volunteers who carry-in meals on an almost daily basis. Families who are managing complex health issues including constant hospital communication, medical bills, all night bedside care, medical treatments, pharmacy runs, etc. really benefit from not having to worry about the next meal. In the few weeks that I've stayed here with my daughter, a variety of volunteers have arrived, from squads of eager teenagers to medical students, to the grandmotherly type that you just want to hug. Thank you volunteers for providing nourishment and love to RMH families. You are the hands and feet of God. Read More

WOW, this place was a huge blessing in our major time of need & is continuing to be a blessing to us. My son & I had a surgery that required us to stay for about a month from Decem... WOW, this place was a huge blessing in our major time of need & is continuing to be a blessing to us. My son & I had a surgery that required us to stay for about a month from December 4th-December 31st 2024 at this location. My son had his neural tube defect (spina bifida) closed up while in utero when I was 24 weeks pregnant. Being able to stay here was one less worry off of our plate. Not only do they provide usually at least one meal a day, they also have activities to help your time go by faster & helps keep you distracted from all the medical issues going on for a bit! Since we were here during Christmas, they had several activities, we made the best of our time here! The staff/volunteers/shuttle driver/ everyone we came in contact with was super friendly & amazing to come in contact with. We’re actually staying again Sept 2025 as my 6 month old baby has now developed hydrocephalus & needs treatment. We love this RMH & cannot thank them enough!!!! 💓💓 Read More
