The 24/7 access is incredibly convenient, especially for someone with a hectic schedule. They have an impressive variety of equipment, but what really stands out are the punching bag and the push sled with turf – perfect for an intense and diverse workout. They even have the platforms and bump plates so I can deadlift! The facility is spotless, which shows how much they prioritize cleanliness and creating a welcoming environment. The staff are not only friendly but also genuinely thoughtful and eager to help. Whether you're a beginner or a fitness enthusiast, Southport Fitness has everything you need for a great workout experience. Highly recommend! Read More

I was a member of this gym for a little under a year and had an overall positive experience! It is always clean and well-maintained, usually not crowded (though I typically went off-peak hours, so YMMV), and has most of the machines and equipment you’d want. Being open 24/7 365 is a huge plus. The end of my experience with SPF wasn’t as pleasant (I wasn’t receiving emails for whatever reason, so I didn’t know monthly dues were going up until I was charged, and I thought they had ignored my request to cancel). However, the Southport Fitness team was super nice and patient helping me get figure out what had happened. They were also just lovely in all other interactions I had. The biggest reason I am giving this gym 4 stars vs. 5 is I don’t believe it’s good value for money. I know Southport is an expensive area, but $70 a month for a quite small gym with essentially no amenities — the lockers rooms are very very small with no toiletry products or towel service, there are very few group Read More

I highly recommend this gym! First of all, this is one of the last truly 24/7 gyms in Chicago. Membership is super cheap (especially if you choose the year plan over the monthly) and of the 20+ gyms I've belonged to over the years, this is by far the best value. It's clean, the staff is helpful, personal trainers know their stuff, and it has all of the equipment I need. When I first joined, there was no belt squat, which is one of my favorites and so I sent an email to the owner and within weeks there was a shiny new belt squat machine ready to go. Awesome.
