The ACE team went over the solar design and discussed step by step the timeline of events and everything discussed was pretty spot on. The only delay was with Eversource paperwork approvals and installing the electrical meters but this was around the holidays so it was expected to be some delays. There was also an issue with one of my electric breakers that was impacted by the solar system, which ACE took care of. All employees were very communicative and ACE handled all of the "behind the scenes" permitting work with the Town and with National Grid. Shirley, customer care rep, handled all the permitting, ordering, delivery and installation schedule. From the time I placed my order to the time my panels were installed was 10 weeks. Shane and his installation team arrived on site right on time and had my 4 array solar system installed in 1 1/2 days. Mike, the electrician, hung around for 3 hours waiting for the town inspector to arrive to get everything signed off. I use the Ace Solar app everyday to monitor my system and see how much energy I am producing. Ace provided me with all the necessary documentation to apply for the state and federal tax rebates. Ian the sales person we spoke with was not pushy at all. He was very technical and wanted to help us solve our problems. His estimated price also came in thousands of dollars below one of the other main competitors we were looking at. That competitor also was offering less panels for a higher price. We finally decided to go with Ace because of the friendliness of the sales representative, they're technical competence in solar and all of the great reviews that were posted about them. They handled the entire process, from design to permits to installation to utility company interface, quickly and efficiently while I was away. They took care of setting up the SRECs with a broker and followed up with me on numerous occasions after the installation. The entire process was seamless and quick. Oh, I just received my first electric bill since the installation; it was a credit balance for $28.32. Awesome! EDIT: It is now May 3, 2022 and my system has been down since January (almost 4 months). The problem has been a faulty inverter but despite repeated communication with Ace Solar, they have not responded. Sam worked with me to update the proposal to include more panels and switch to a microinverter solution. I signed the contract at the end of January 2023, had my site visit about four weeks later, and the panels were installed mid-April 2023. The install crew finished the entire job in less than a day and was absolutely phenomenal - they were professional, courteous and didn't take any shortcuts or cut corners.
