Thanks to the partners and sponsors that help keep groceries and produce out of landfills and put back into the hands of the community. It's a great feeling buying a case of something and using a few and sharing the rest. Sharing is truly caring. One of my photos of a vegetable face was made with UP produce. Then assembled into a meal 😀 Read More

My wife and I were invited by our friend Crystal to UAP and we were amazed at so many low prices, stocked shelves with lots of brand name products and generics as well. The staff was all very friendly and helpful but the only drawback is the parking facilities. Simply not enough parking spaces to accommodate everyone that visits. Thanks UAP for helping out those in need during these difficult times. Read More

I am amazed of the STEP program offered by United Against Poverty and I am so proud of me for taking the decision to be a part of it. I am thankful for Jocelyn who informed me of this program during an Orange County job fair and Emma who passed me the interview. They offered me the opportunity to meet sweet Sissy the Facilitator-Teacher and to become successfully prepared by a one-on-one Workforce Special, Axel, and a Success Coach, Miguel. Yes, I took a small step that became a giant victory. If you want to meet greatness, take the STEP. If I were you, I would not wait until I lose my job to join this program because that work ethics course will help you keep your position and your job. Are you waiting for me to tell you more?…ok! On top of all of the above, you will get free bus passes, vouchers for food, gas..,and gadgets…plus free snacks, free lunch every day during the entire program. “BON BAGAY!” (Yes, you will get to meet Greatness!) “What can I say, you welcome!” (Nope Read More

I recently had the opportunity to visit this incredible food pantry, and the experience left a lasting impression on me. While it brings mixed emotions—knowing how many families are facing hardship—it is truly uplifting to see a place that provides such comprehensive support to the community. Beyond offering essential groceries such as canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread, eggs, and many other staples, this organization goes above and beyond. They also provide baby and adult diapers, as well as basic car necessities like oil and windshield wipers—items that can make a significant difference for families striving to stay employed and stable. One of the most impactful aspects is the STEPS program, which assists individuals in securing employment and rebuilding their independence. The staff is exceptionally kind, professional, and genuinely dedicated to helping others. From the welcoming front desk to the volunteers throughout the facility, everyone is informative, respectful, and hand Read More
