One of the best bakery's I've been to. I got a feta croissant and a few desserts, too many to name 😅 We were a party of four. The food was amazing, and they have option for to go or dine in. The inside is very small and only allows 6 people (not including those sitting at a table). We waited for about 15-20 mins, and we got there around 11:00. I recommend getting there earlier because some of the items were out of stock. Very cute place, and if there isn't any seats inside there are a few tables outside ☺️ Read More

The pastries were definitely worth the wait. Had to wait outside until line was moving but it wasn’t too long of a wait. The selection was very good. Only reason why it’s a 4 star is their selection in what they serve the coffee in as it was difficult to hold due to it being hot. Overall the experience was great and the pastries tasted out of this world good. Will most definitely make a second trip to this place. Read More

Sure it’s not Paris or Nice, but it’s pretty close! Espresso drinks are deliciously divine… servi à la parisienne (bien sûr). The staff is always lovely - friendly and welcoming. A busy little place to be sure… so expect a line, especially on weekends. The worst part? Trying to decide on what to enjoy. It’s almost impossible to leave with just one selection. Luckily, they’ve boxes to accommodate any number of delicacies for enjoyment later whether sharing with friends or simply for yourself. Read More

When we’re in Boise, we always make a stop at Janjou Pâtisserie. The pastry selection is intentionally curated, not overwhelming, just a thoughtful lineup of beautifully crafted options. We make it a point to try something new each time, and every visit delivers. The flavors are layered, balanced, and memorable. There’s usually a bit of a wait, but it’s by design. They only allow six customers inside at a time to make sure everyone gets the same relaxed, unhurried experience. It doesn’t feel rushed or chaotic, which is rare. On our last visit, the pastry chef and owner came outside, introduced herself, thanked everyone for waiting, and explained why they keep it to six guests at a time. It felt genuine and intentional. The care they put into both the pastries and the customer experience makes the wait completely worth it. If you appreciate quality over quantity, this place is a must-stop in Boise. Read More

I'm on a quest to find the best Croissant in each of the places I visit and Janjou Pâtisserie was my place to try in Boise. I went in with high expectations because of the reviews and I was not disappointed. I only tried the Butter Croissant, but the entire selection looked amazing. The Croissant was buttery and flakey and had a wonderful texture. Each bite was a joy! Janjou's has certainly set the bar high in Boise. And compared to other bakeries in the US, it ranks way up there. I'll be back for more next time I'm in town. Read More
