Its direct influences enriches Tucson through movement, dance, but most importantly activism. Thru Bboy culture, Capoeira, African drumming or Twerkin’, just imagine this America, without the influence of black people / indigenous cultures and our rich culture.

For the past six weeks I’ve been doing yoga sessions with Ja, Desiree, Neve, and Philip. I’m brand new to yoga and each of these instructors has done a great job easing me into body awareness. Each of my teachers has their own style and energy, keeps it fresh and interesting for me. I’m noticing increasing strength and flexibility as well as confidence and balance. The space is welcoming and clean and organized. I purchased the yoga package which is a great deal. Highly recommend!! I have been involved with dance groups that have utilized the amazing space at Movement Culture for quite a few years on both a weekly and monthly basis. I have also hosted several private events in the last year. The studio is beautiful, and always clean. Bryan is very accessible and always available to help with any issues that may arise (like with using the sound system.). He is also very accommodating to whatever each particular group needs. Movement Culture is conveniently located, has a gated parking lot, a beautiful wood floor and mirrored walls, two bathrooms, a water dispenser, lovely art on the walls, and high ceilings.
