She was incredibly sincere and transparent, explaining that she has been running the bakery entirely on her own following the passing of her husband. ​She took full responsibility for the communication and quality issues I experienced. To rectify the situation, she immediately arranged to have a fresh, guaranteed sugar-free cake delivered to my parents’ house today. It is rare to find a business owner who reaches out with such honesty and heart. We have never made regular bread, let alone messed with sourdough! One of the bakers in the back came up front and took her time to explain how to use it that day if we wanted, feed it and everything. The (I assume) owner even gave us bread to take home and try. They were so kind to us, but also every interaction I could hear was positive and kind. The bread we got was so good, we are already planning a trip back to try out more of their items.
