This place is great! We have been to probably 8 to 10 bakeries and pastry shops in the Miami Beach area and this is the best one. I visited this bakery based on a recommendation, and I’m so glad I did. Everything I tried was delicious—the croissant dough was absolutely spectacular, flaky and buttery in all the right ways. The only downside was the service. The girl who helped us didn’t seem too interested in answering our questions or explaining the different options, which took away a bit from the experience. True Loaf is the best bakery in Miami and lives up to the hype. The bread is their classic: the naturally leavened sourdough and baguettes are consistently excellent, and they’ll slice the loaf for you if you ask. If you’re doing pastries, the almond croissant or chocolate croissants are amazing: flaky and buttery.Their sandwiches are also very good. I like a the simple BLT. The PB&J is also great, just a little overpriced for what it is. I recommend ordering ahead online since there can be a line and the best stuff usually sells out. Everything I’ve purchased there is incredibly good, and the staff is super friendly.Some people mention prices being high, but honestly, don’t blame the bakery, they have to cover the cost of doing business in Miami Beach. A small retail space here can easily cost $15,000–$20,000 per month in rent alone. Get the donuts! I got a blueberry cream and Nutella donut. I am a chocolate fiend, but the blueberry cream was my favourite. I bought several items to take home, but we couldn’t resist the temptation and ended up eating half a baguette with a salad at a nearby restaurant.What we managed to save for later, I stored in the fridge and reheated the next day in a toaster oven—and it came out as if it had just been baked.The baguette and the black olive fougasse are, without exaggeration, among the best I’ve ever had: a light crumb with beautiful open structure and a perfectly crisp crust. I also want to highlight the Kouign-Amann (with pastry cream and blueberries) and the Pain Suisse, which were my favorites—simply delicious.Overall, everything I tried was of the highest quality. Stopped by true loaf after eating at Lucali's witch was an amazing experience! I had a difficult time deciding what to order. Since I'm visiting from chicago. I had to make my one choice count! I did. Got one loaf of banana bread with chocolate chips and walnuts, and two huge chocolate chip cookies. It did not disappoint. Banana bread was huge and weighed at least 5 pounds legit brought it back with me to Chicago lol...super soft amazing flavor the best part was it wasn't overly sweet same with the cookie. I want to dock a star for value and consistency, such as the pan au chocolate sometimes being almost all pan and almost no chocolate. Also because the prices are at the higher end of tolerability, eg. $12 for one baguette and one croissant; or $20 for a challah and a cookie. This is actually the higher end even of what you would pay in NYC for an artisan bakery. It is the only bakery of note on South Beach at the moment and the lack of competition doesn’t help in this regard. However, I want to support them and the quality is generally good so I am giving the benefit of the doubt for now. The customer service has been so lovely and how unfortunate is it that now I can’t even go to this lovely business as I truly enjoyed buying the delicious chocolate of the tiramisu flavor and my grandmother liked that chocolate as well. The Dadeland mall security is responsible for making the decision to not only send a security who had such a scary way of looking at me when I completely complied to all his orders. Look at how they treated your customer Läderach… that is sad that now I can’t walk in here again until the next 2 years. I call that abuse of position of power from the management of Apple & Ferragamo. I’m not surprised why no one has left a single Ferragamo. Interesting isn’t it! I was in the Miami area to check out the art installation at Faena Beach for Miami Art Week. Whenever I’m in the area, I always check bookmarked spots I want to check out. Decided to hit up True Loaf which was close by.True Loaf is located in Sunset Harbor next to Tequiztlan Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar.
