Went to Gentleman's Barber Spa for the first time without any expectations as it had been nearly two months between haircuts and I was heading out of the city for the next few weeks. The shop was a few minutes by my office near Canal St so very convenient. I booked Alex for the afternoon.
It was an excellent decision. From the jump, I knew I was going to get a terrific haircut when I saw Alex in a sharp suit. Alex is a prodigy at what he does. Extremely meticulous and detail oriented, a tremendous conversation and by far one of the best haircuts I've had in years (and I've had great barbers over the years). Beyond the haircut, I appreciated the client service and just talking shop. In 35 minutes it ranged from a mutual interest in collectors items, watches, his 107 year old grandfather, his time in the military and the work he's put in being a good father.
