I have been admitted twice in the last month and had excellent experiences, both times, and all of many prior admissions. Our only issue was two women at the er desk. Both were extremely rude, cutting my husband off as she walked away, until he said would you like to hear the rest?! She passes us to someone else who was just as bad, but brought us to a very cold room. I was in a wheelchair and horrible pain. She didn’t offer blankets, help up, etc. As we decided to leave and my husband was figuring out if he’d get a wheelchair or have to carry me, a nurse came in and saw us and was so upset on how we were treated. She promised me the level of care we are used to there and being it’s my favorite hospital for their excellence , we stayed. So many people came and apologized! I ended up being there 7 days and the rest of the hospification was excellent. I even skipped the local hospital when I was having my heart attack. My experience at Orlando health was amazing after I was transported to my Floor that I was going to be staying , I was put into my room and assessed and went about my day in the hospital that was around five or 6 PM but my best shifts was in the morning. That crew was awesome. Very attentive took the time to speak to me and just make me feel worthy, even though I had to be in the hospital and again the morning crew that was there on Thanksgiving morning I was a bit sad because I had to spend Thanksgiving, I thought the whole day in the hospital but the morning shift encouraged me and reminded me that it is going to be OK And my nurse for that day just told me that she would check with the doctor and see what he has to say about me leaving or staying and she followed through with the doctor and I was out of there couple hours later. This is the fifth time I've been hospitalized, all at Orlando Health - Health Central Hospital. I have a heart condition that causes me problems, and on average, every two years my arrhythmia gets out of control, but they are able to manage it. I've been aware of my condition since I was young, but as I've gotten older, it has affected me more frequently. The service at the hospital has been excellent, and the facilities are magnificent and private. My experience with the staff has been fabulous; I'm already familiar with the hospitalization procedures, which makes it easier for me to adapt. The doctors and their assistants are excellent, explaining everything to me and being very patient. The meals are also very good, even though I'm on a special diet.
