About Contra Studios
Contra Studios (est 2011) is a premier multi-arts production facility in Chelsea, NYC featuring two state-of-the-art cyc wall studios. Studio A offers a daylight, single-corner cyc for a variety of shoots, while Studio B is a pre-lit, two-corner soundstage optimized for larger productions and pristine audio recording. The rooftop w/ amazing old NY views is also available for shoots. Our exclusive one-client-per-day policy guarantees privacy and exclusive access to our 2,000 sqft common area, dedicated HMU room, and fully equipped kitchen. We're conveniently located on 28th st betw 6th & 7th ave, steps from the 1 train, Penn St, and PATH. All rentals include pro-lighting, grip equipment, seamless options and props.

Contra Studios is an exceptionally one-of-a-kind space with an experience that you can't find anywhere else. The studios are located more than 100 feet above the streets of Chelsea, Manhattan, NYC, and serve as a perfect space for all things creative. Just when you think that the luxuriously spacious lounge (which also has a kitchen!) outside the studios is impressive, the interior of the studios goes above and beyond expectations. This space can accommodate a 20-person crew easily, with plenty of room to move around comfortably.
