Stopped in to sample a few wines, thinking I'd stay 20 or 30 minutes. What could go wrong? 😇 So 90 minutes later, I'm leaving with two cases of wine and a bunch of cool wine stuff. 🤣 So many tasty flavors! So much cool stuff! Was almost out the door when I heard someone say "Jalapeno Wine." What?! Had to try it, and then of course had to buy some as gifts. Always happy to share! Nice location, too, with some outdoor tables. Motown was playing when I was there, a good time was had by all!🍷

Buckeye Winery is located in beautiful downtown Newark. They make and offer something like 50 different wines. The staff is friendly and fun and make you feel welcome! Sometimes they have live music on Saturday night. They also have trivia nights. You can even make your own wine as a group or by yourself. They have food and it all tastes good. The pizza is delicious. You just have to order food a half hour before they close. They have weekly food specials too. They are opened until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday they close at 7pm. The wine slushes are amazing!! Try them all. My favorite was the dreamsicle. It tastes like the orange dreamsicle ice cream. If you aren’t a wine person they also offer beer. They have 8 chairs at the bar to sit. They also have 2 and 4 tops and larger round tables for larger parties. Love this place! We have several times a year "made" our own wine there. To do that, you have a wine sampling and choose one of there wines and then they take you through the process of adding the syrup, water, and yeast to a carboy container which has a water lockIt then ferments for 4-5 weeks. When done, you are called back to choose your individualized label, bottle, and cork them. Yields approximately 30 bottles of wine. Owners are very knowledgable and helpful throughout. Staff is friendly and efficient as well. Great place to enjoy wine, food, and wine making.

This place is really cool, it has a small town local vibe, actually the time i was there they where two gents where singing live in an acoustic way, they where also accepting some requests from the public, it was really cool of you want to chill and vibe for the week.
