Coming from a household with an exotic pet, I’ve had multiple 5-star experiences at 2nd Street Animal Hospital over the last year and a half. The following review is about my latest visit there (third overall). My pet rabbit had an unexpected scare a few nights ago. It was a false alarm (thankfully), but I still had some lingering questions about his overall health. So, I went on 2nd Street Animal Hospital’s website, filled out a quick form, and scheduled an appointment for the next day. It was very easy to set up. Huge shoutout to Dr. Meade, Francis, & Jeffrey for all the insight they shared during that appointment. Even though I had a laundry list of questions, they took the time to thoroughly and meaningfully answer everything I asked them. Unsurprisingly, they also took excellent care of my rabbit; Thanks to Dr. Meade & Francis’ magic, he was unexpectedly Zen throughout his entire checkup and nail trimming session. 5/5 stars. Dr. Meade, Addi and Shyheem were all incredible with my rabbits. I have just moved states and was very nervous to try a new exotics vet, but I seem to have found a winner on the first try! Dr. Meade took care to make each of my rabbits feel comfortable and safe. She took the time to explain what she was doing, things to look for and be aware of for the future. I learned a lot and feel relief finding a new vet I can trust. She was patient answering questions and Addi even sent a follow up email on a tool I was recommended to buy. Addi and Shyheem took photos of the buns for their first vet visit and made the whole visit feel so warm and friendly! I love the genuine enthusiasm and interest for animal care that I felt from everyone! I had a great time meeting everyone and would definitely recommend them as an exotics vet. I will note that they are pricy, but most exotic vets are. The office itself is very nice and has a cute waiting area with tea and coffee. Services Exotic animals
