As a Chinese mom without any family nearby, I knew I wanted a bilingual Mandarin daycare to reinforce language with my son, and I'm so glad I found Sunshine. Why? 1. The teachers are great. They are all native speakers and always address the kids in Mandarin first. They are experienced and have been with the center for a long time (i.e. there is little staff turnover unlike some other big centers). They are always so excited to see my son when he arrives in the morning. It's so sweet and reminds me of how my mom reacts when she greets him! In addition, they are knowledgeable about children's needs and development. They provided a lot of guidance on what to look for in shoes, skills to work on with my son, how much milk or food to bring, etc. As a first time mom, these lessons were invaluable. Now that my son is transitioning from the infant room to the infant/toddler room, his infant room teacher has been helping daily with the transition which has made it so much smoother. 2. Shi

Fantastic place! My son is well loved by all the teachers and staff here. He's been going to Sunshine for about 8 months so far and each day he looks forward to seeing his little friends. My wife and I are fully assured that he's in good hands and comes home with a giant smile everyday. Also, love the fact that he's exposed to a second language so early. Shirley (the owner) has setup a fantastic program and her staff is incredible and been with her for years. Shout-out to Ms. Ping, Ms. Yoyo and Ms. Sophia in the infant room!

What a wonderful, MAGICAL place of learning! My son has been coming to Sunshine since he was 11 months old. He is now a toddler. He loves it here, and gets excited every morning to come. All the teachers are warm, welcoming, and excited to see my son... he loves them! They continuously update me with things they notice in his development. I love how educational the program is. The teachers follow themed units of study that include developmentally appropriate visual and tactile learning. Sunshine also goes out of the way to plan special experiential learning opportunities, like kung fu classes every Tuesday, field trips to the Chinatown martial arts center and the apple orchard, and dance performances for the lunar new year. I also love that my son is learning Mandarin!

Sunshine daycare is incredible. Our 11 month daughter has been at Sunshine since she was 3 months old. Everyone there is an outstanding caregiver. The atmosphere is one of a family, but also extremely professional. Even at such a young age, our daughter was grown to love going to daycare and she hates to leave at the end of the day! In the very beginning, our daughter suffered from a milk allergy and the staff was extremely understanding and took the necessary measures to still take care of her. The vast majority of the staff is native Chinese, yet communication has never been a problem (my family is not Chinese) and the little ones at Sunshine come from a variety of backgrounds. We are leaving Boston to move to the west coast, and we are definitely very sad to leave Sunshine! It would have been great to have our daughter graduate into the toddler class! I cannot recommend Sunshine enough.

We have 2 daughters (4.5 & 1.5 yrs) and both have attended Sunshine since they were 8 weeks old. They absolutely love their teachers and everyone that works there. The majority of teachers that our older daughter has gone through in each class room are still there and now teaching our younger. This speaks volumes to how well the owner (Shirley) runs the business. Everyone she employs is happy and loves the children as if their own. We have several friends who's daycares have constant turnover and are so grateful to never have to worry about that. The curriculum is very structured and we receive weekly reports on the girls. Our older daughter communicates in Mandarin with the teachers and our younger one is starting to recognize the language as well. During Covid they did everything possible to remain open safely and treated the situation with the appropriate urgency - not only for health but consideration of working parents and the impact on the children. I honestly have not one bad th

We love Sunshine! My daughter attended Sunshine apple class and preschool class for 2 years. The teachers are fantastic, meals are nutritious, they have a lot of fun seasonal and Chinese cultural activities for the children, dancing and singing, and most importantly I felt my child was happy, safe and well taken care of even through covid. They have an app to communicate with parents and share pictures and are very responsive. Thank you Ms. Shirley, Ms. Sophia, Ms. Qing Qing, Ms. Hsu, Ms. Huang, Ms. Zheng, Ms. Mia, Ms. Judy, and Ms. Winnie!

Sending my daughter to Sunshine Childcare is one of the best decisions we have ever made! My daughter has been going to Sunshine for four years, since she was 6 months old. They take such good care of her. She is happy and excited to go to school everyday. They have the most loving teachers, low teacher turnover, reliable hours, healthy food, age-appropriate curriculum, plenty of well organized activities (library reading trip, apple picking field trip, holiday celebration and performance, dance and music classes, etc.) The owner, Shirley, is very friendly, professional, responsive and a great owner who deeply cares about all the kids and her teachers.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Sunshine Bilingual Childcare in Chinatown. Our oldest daughter started when she was just 10 months old and stayed until she was 3.5, and our youngest began at 5 months. From day one, the teachers embraced our family with so much love, warmth, and support. As first-time parents, we had no idea what we were doing—but the incredible staff guided us through every step with patience and care. They helped us raise confident, curious little girls who learned so much during their time there. They were introduced to Mandarin and learned the language through songs, stories, and daily conversation, which was such a gift. They were also immersed in Chinese culture in meaningful ways—we especially loved the annual Lunar New Year celebrations that brought the whole community together. Our daughters also made wonderful friends, and we hope to stay in touch with the amazing families we met along the way. The teachers truly became like family to us. Leaving

Sunshine offers a really loving, caring environment for little ones. The staff genuinely care about every kid there, and my son was so excited to go to the school every morning! He learned so much from his teachers and classmates. Sunshine also arranges a wide range of learning activities such as painting, singing, dancing, and even gong fu! While we had to leave because of moving, sending our son to Sunshine has been one of the best decisions we have ever made!
