South Coast Sailing is a fantastic place to learn to sail and to charter a boat. Capt. Lucy and her staff go out of the way to help you and the instructors are the best. One instructor, Craig, was an ASA 2020 Instructor of the Year and my favorite!

We flew down and took our ASA 101 class with Captain Steven. We have been sailing on lakes for the last 6 years and they adjusted our lessons based on our experience while still making sure we had the basics to pass the test. We had a great experience with all sorts of weather and wind. Looking forward to taking more classes with them in the future. Heidi was super helpful in making sure we were comfortable and had a great experience while there. Thanks SCSA!

We had an amazing experience chartering a sailboat with South Coast Sailing Adventures. I booked a two-hour private captained cruise and came from Canada to propose to my now fiancée. Lucy helped me coordinate everything and was extremely helpful. She even made sure that champagne and flowers were onboard prior to our arrival. A special thanks to Gary, the captain, and Evan, who assisted the captain and was also our photographer. Gary was very knowledgeable and friendly and helped provide us with the best sunset views. Evan was also very kind and took exceptional photos that captured the moments perfectly and we will cherish those forever. The proposal went so well and we had the perfect setting for it. I highly recommend this company to anyone considering chartering a sailboat. Thank you again to South Coast Sailing Adventures, and specifically Lucy, Gary, and Evan for making our proposal day so memorable and one of the best days of our lives.

Took the ASA103/104 with instructor Gary Hodges last weekend on his snazzy Beneteau 43, with an in-mast furling main sail, furling jib, and even bow thrusters. It was a fantastic experience!! The winds were a steady 18-22knots with 36 knots gusts most of the sailing days. He gave us an intro to coastal navigation and had us go over the charter checklist as if we were chartering the boat. Then we set off. We sailed to landmarks and a compass course, undocked and docked the boat, did MOB under motor and sail, mooring and anchoring procedure and the rest of the textbook curriculum. I highly recommend reading the textbooks ahead of class and bringing your list of questions and skills to practice. As with any class, you will get out only as much as you put in. Also, for those reviewers who say instructors were not too engaging or thorough in teaching all material, I reply that sailing is often physically, mentally intense and the instructor will not force you to practice things if they can

When you want to learn how to sail with finesse and not just brute force sailing this is the place for you. Captain Lucy and her team of professionals will ensure you learn what you came for vs a fast-food style in-and-out certificate.

Wonderful sailing school. We brought our teen down to sail with south coast and had an absolutely amazing time. Captain Bob Buddingh was our instructor and I can’t say enough great things about him and this school. Very patient and informative we will absolutely be back to sail with them again.

Great place to learn or brush up on sailing skills. Captain Ken was a super fun salty sailor instructor. A great person to learn from with a years and years of sailing experience around the world. ASA101 is the stepping stone to chartering and captaining your own vessels. It's never to late to get started !

I've done ASA 101, 103/104 with South Coast. They've been great all along. I fly in and it's nice that they understand that and work to accommodate and communicate with that need. I've worked with CPT Ken and Eric. Both have been great and able to modify things as needed. Did our 103/104 on the Hunter 35. It was a good (cold) weekend with Seabrook being at 30 at night. But got it done....
