We had our 30 panel install during 2018, choosing Great Sky out of about 6 quotes, primarily based on competitive pricing, good equipment recommendations, and a very transparent and personal upfront design process. Very good people to deal with. From initial down payment in March, things went very smoothly and we were up and running by August 1st. We took all tax breaks in the 1st year and started collecting SRECs in 2019. We received a refund check from Great Sky in 2019, as promised, because actual outputs did not fully meet predicted levels of 10MWh per year. However, the system has been running at 85-95% of that level so far, and would do better with fewer trees. Based on combined returns from rebates, SRECs, and net-metered returns measured from utility bills, the system paid for itself after approximately 5-1/2 years (near the end of 2024).
