We could not be happier than we are with what we have seen at the School of Rock. From the management to the staff, from the lessons to the shows, we have had a fantastic experience from the start. My kids are excited each and every week for their lessons and rehearsals and their knowledge of music and music history has increased tenfold. Along with their knowledge and proficiency, we have seen the kids confidence increase exponentially. The instructors have a great passion for music. They help the students gain confidence in their playing. They challenge the students to push beyond what they think they can do, whether it's a challenging solo or trying out a new instrument. In the seasonal group sessions, the students in the band support and encourage each other. Everyone gets a chance to shine and show off their skills. The veteran players help the newer players get adjusted to being on stage and in the spotlight. The students set up and break down the set together, just like a real band. One of my favorite parts of any School of Rock group show is watching the interaction between the students on stage as they play. They can read each others' faces and body language to help move the song along. It's the best teamwork approach to music.

My wife and I were looking for a music school for our son. He was interested in learning to play drums and we are lucky enough to live in a city where we had our choice of where to get him lessons. We learned of the school of rock from a friend whose son goes there. He spoke of it highly so we gave it a try. Well my son that had never played drums within a few months was able to keep a beat and play along to some songs. For Alex this was a great accomplishment as he struggles with focusing issues. The staff at school of rock welcomed him from day one and has made him feel like he is part of their family. I think this is a big part of him doing so well. The older students are great and will sit in with the 101 class to help the newbies along. My son seems to have so much fun with it, he would probably spend all day there if we let him. I would highly recommend SoR to any parent looking to get music lessons for their child. You will enjoy watching them as much as they enjoy playing.

Philly School of Rock ROCKS ! Our son has been at SOR for five years and his experience has been awesome. The staff there provide an amazing and welcoming community to learn in. They inspire their students. They put their heart and soul into what they do and it shows. Our son started with the guitar, and it is now his passion.
