I have been coming to this shop and recommending it for years so I can’t believe I haven’t left a review until now! Mammoth is the only shop I’ll go to in Denver, not because there aren’t other amazing shops and artists out there, but because Mammoth truly is something special. I have a specific artist I usually see, but every single artist there is incredible. They have a wide variety of styles but each artist can literally do anything you need. From bold American Traditional color to dark and moody to delicate and ornamental they truly have something for everybody. More than that, the atmosphere of the shop is what keeps me coming back. It feels like a neighborhood spot where you’re never a stranger. Everyone is so welcoming and kind and you’ll never feel uncomfortable or out of place. Last week my wife and I were able to walk in for a tattoo with William. What started as a phone call to inquire about some finger tattoos turned into a fun and memorable experience.Initially my wife and I were looking to get flowers on our ring fingers but after talking with William, he suggested going in a different direction for multiple reason. While in the shop we all agreed that some consolation of our birth months would be a more realistic and ultimately better looking result. I wanted to share my experience after searching for the right artist and shop for a tattoo I have envisioned for several years. Following the passing of my parents, I decided to finally move forward with the piece. After extensive research, I chose William at Mammoth American Tattoo.From my initial email to the consultation, the experience has been excellent. When I arrived at the shop, the staff was incredibly welcoming. William spent nearly an hour discussing the design and my requested changes with me. He provided great insights into color theory, explaining what would and wouldn't work to ensure the best result.I returned today to begin the tattoo, and both William and Ripley were fantastic. I am very happy with the linework completed during this first session.
