Tucked away in a basement near downtown, Language loop is one of those hidden gems of Chicago that I know I will look back on 20 years from now with the fondest of memories. I took a Portuguese class here and had the best time doing so. Johanna was on top of scheduling and getting back to me with any questions I had. Not to mention Mariana was the best teacher I could’ve asked for. Very hands on class, I feel like I have a good understanding of the language in just a short amount of time I spent there. Beautiful people, and a beautiful space. 10/10 recommend to anybody looking

The Language Loop is absolutely the best language school in Chicago and everything I could ask for from a language learning community. I have been taking Japanese lessons with my partner for over a year and studied Russian at the Language Loop a few years back. It has been a wonderful experience in every way. The owner is amazing to work with. The space is welcoming. The programs are flexible, and there are many languages to choose from. And we absolutely love our teacher. She makes every class such a positive, energizing experience. Japanese is a hard language, but I am so happy with the progress we have made. I've tried a lot of language-learning options, but I've never found a service that offers a better value for my time and financial investment. If you're serious about learning a new language, I can't recommend the Language Loop enough!

Language loop has been an absolute gem that has really provided me the structure I need to get serious about learning a new language (Spanish for me!). The classes are fun and provide the perfect balance tailored to my needs of conversation, writing, exercises and games. Everyone in the space is so welcoming, and I feel like it’s a home away from home. If you’re taking Spanish, Mabel is absolutely fantastic to work with. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to attend LL and look forward to classes until I’m fully conversational!!

Very grateful that I found Language Loop!! I took Spanish classes with Arturo, and in addition to being incredibly intelligent and patient, he made each class so fun and truly taught me so much. I was greeted each day by either Jary or Johanna- two absolute rays of sunshine! They were so kind and made sure I had everything I needed, and always insisted that I take a freshly baked snack or pastry before leaving :) Highly recommend this school!
