This school is fantastic. My kids have attended Spanish camps here for the past 2 summers and I was very impressed with the professionalism and creativity of the instructors. I have been taking private Spanish lessons here for the past several months and have made tremendous progress. Learning a language through this center has been fun and inspiring. Thankfully, it is a style that is much different than the way I was taught french in high school!

I highly recommend Journey Language Center if you want to learn a new language. After finding myself in Spanish speaking countries on several occasion, I became frustrated not knowing the language. I decided enough of that and found JLC. I have been taking Spanish lesson with David Minaya for about 7 months and feel confident the next time I find myself in a Spanish speaking country, I'll be able to converse comfortably. Classes are fun and knowledgeable, and the time seems to fly by. If I could give them more stars, I would!

Journey Language Center is a great place to learn and improve a language. I am from Colombia and I was looking for school that will help me to improve my English. I have been in Journey Language Center for about 3 months and I feel that my English is much fluent. People from my work see the improvements. I love to come to this place, because the classes are fun, and the teachers are excellent . Definitively I would recommend this place for everyone who would like to learn or improve a language.

Journey Language Center offers fabulous Spanish instruction. Since mid December, I can see the progress I have made at the hands of a confident instructor. Each week, Jay Minaya motivates me to write about my own experiences using the language features he's taught me. In addition he gives me good Spanish movies to watch and current podcasts to listen to outside of class When editing my writing, Jay gives me clear reasons for why I should use words a certain way which eliminates the gray areas. Each class level comes with a a group of printed lessons that require reading Spanish for a variety of purposes. If you value bilingualism, do not hesitate to enroll at Journey Language Center. Going to language classes just many be the highlight of your week.

Jay and Journey Language Center provide wonderful service and fantastic offerings in language classes. I take Spanish lessons with Jay and he provides personalized lessons around real estate (Turner Realty in Longmont) for me. I appreciate the personal touches and it is obvious that Jay loves what he does. As a company, Journey Language Center has always been professional and efficient. I highly recommend it as a place to learn languages in Northern Colorado.

I have been taking both group classes and private lessons at this language school over the past two years. In that time, I have been made significant progress toward my goal of becoming bilingual. The instructors here are professional and listen to the needs and wants of the students. The classes are the perfect size to allow time for questions and in-depth discussion. Private instruction provides the opportunity to focus on more specific topics chosen by the student. I've been working on my Spanish for several years now and Journey has helped me tremendously with my ability to listen, understand, and speak Spanish. In particular, I've been working 1:1 with a woman named Isna and my progress has exceeded my expectations thanks to the customized teaching approach Journey uses. I've worked with several of their teachers over the years, including the owners, and I'll note that everyone has been super responsive and fun to work with. Journey should be top of your list if you really want to learn Spanish quickly.

I was a real beginner when last March I joined the Spanish Easy & Fun program to learn Spanish. After 9 months not only my spanish is already at intermediate level but, most importantly, I am completely addicted. The Spanish Easy & Fun program provides excellent teachers and small group classes ensuring that each student has the appropriate attention. In addition, they use a wide variety of effective teaching tools, from videos to games that make the learning process interactive and really fun. Last but not least, they offer, for their students, free conversational evenings and frequently, they organize events where their students can practice the language they are learning even with natives. I have been taking individual Spanish lessons with David since November 2018 and just signed up for my third set of classes! My reason for learning Spanish is to better connect with my clients as a public health dietitian. I already feel more confident using my basic skills to build rapport and I can read/write far better than I expected. Now that we had added conversation-only classes with Jala, my confidence in speaking and comprehension is growing each week. I highly recommend the classes here. They really do make it fun and easy. My spouse and I have been taking Spanish classes with JLC for the past two months in prep for a trip to Panama. While the two of us have different levels of experience with Spanish (almost none v 4 years of study 20 years ago in high school), classes together have been great and keep us both engaged, challenged, and learning. The combination of classes taught by Jay and Hannah also works really well as we’re exposed to different dialects and teaching styles. They both tailor our classes and topics for our goals (in our case, focusing on conversations and vocal that will be particularly helpful when traveling). Both are a lot of fun as well - taking much of the pressure off the guaranteed struggles with learning a new language.Scheduling is flexible. We mix in-person and virtual classes with ease. I have been taking Spanish Classes at JLC for a year now. The fun classes, lively conversation, and small class size make it easy to learn. The instructor incorporates cultural aspects into many of the lessons. I really enjoy learning about the people, climate, history and foods of different Spanish speaking countries. Since starting classes here my confidence in speaking Spanish has really improved. Overall, the classes at JLC have been a wonderful experience!

There are many ways to learn a language. But if you're looking to connect with others and use your new language skills right away, JLC is the place. I was completely new to Spanish, but my teacher Jay started with the absolute basics and it helped me learn pronunciation quickly and easily. I really appreciate how the classes incorporate grammar, conversation, and cultural topics. Jay is very friendly and joining this class has made speaking a new language less intimidating and more fun.

Last year I registered for an advanced ESL program at JLC Boulder to improve my English communication skills. The administration and my instructors were very professional and detail orientated. They tailored a program to my learning needs, and created a class schedule based on my availability. This year, I took Italian lessons at JLC Longmont and I had the same wonderful learning experience in both of my in-person and online classes. My Italian instructor was very didactic and included several cultural topics along with the grammar ones. It was worth every dollar I invested in my education here. Journey Language Center is a fantastic teaching school. I began classes last summer and am totally addicted to them. I started by taking a 6 week class then took several months off before returning for my second set of weekly classes. Again, I took several months off before returning for my twice weekly private lessons with David. Each new session included a review of what I had learned and continuation from where we left off. David is a fantastic instructor, making learning Spanish fun and easy. He is very professional and at the same time keeps the classes fun and entertaining. I feel very good about my progress including my enunciation and vocabulary. I plan to register for more classes as my schedule permits. I would very much recommend the Journey Language Center! I have been taking Spanish lessons since January 2020 and have noticed a lot of progress! I started with in person lessons which I very enjoyed. But I need to admit the the video lessons (done through Zoom video due to the covid-19 situation) are awesome as well and the learning process is fun! Plus you can practice Spanish from the comfort of your couch! :)David has been a wonderful instructor and with taking private lessons it has given me scheduling flexibility, and also an opportunity to choose topics I wanted to work on every week. My family and I are moving to Spain for an immersion year and to spend quality time with my husband's family. David swiftly assessed our needs and set myself and our 4 daughters up with private lessons 2x a week. He has a crackerjack team of instructors including Piedad, Andrea, and Ericka who have met us with enthusiasm, kindness, and creativity. Classes range from meeting up downtown to learn new culinary vocabulary on a walk through Peppercorn, to playing card games and coloring, or playtime in the park, all while speaking in Spanish. My girls not only look forward to their classes, they ask me when the next ones are. I feel exactly the same. When we return, we will resume classes to maintain our Spanish and to continue improving. David and his team are flexible, reliable, communicative, and above all excellent at getting us to speak and expanding our knowledge and experience of the language. Really great experience in this class! David is an excellent teacher. He tailors the class to your needs depending on how you will be using Spanish in your life and asks how much time you have for homework, what your struggles have been with the language, etc. I felt my comfort with Spanish deepening over the month and his help made me excited to continue learning.
