Houston Yacht Club is a casual, comfortable, social and recreational private club where a community of families and individuals enjoy their own special resort on the waterfront of Galveston Bay. Founded more than 125 years ago, we're an oasis where you can connect with friends, learn something new, or just unwind. HYC is only 30 minutes from Downtown Houston and Boat Ownership is not required for membership.

I had the privilege of doing pickleball clinics for the “Grand Opening” of the their court by the Gulf of Mexico. Also amazing Bar and Grill in the Clubhouse ! Thank you Ernie Bauner, General Manager.

Fantastic place full of wonderful people. You have instant friends the minute you walk into the clubhouse. There's always an event or poker game going on. The food isn't as good as lakewood, but the people and drink prices more than make up for it. The pink palace is sitting on over 125 years worth of history. If you want to be a part of a sailing club with an amazing racing pedigree and a tiny bit of a drinking problem- then this is the place to be.
