The project was completed to our satisfaction and on budget. Our contractor, Scott, was very pleasant, and meticulously cleaned up at the end each work day. We will definitely use them again, and will request Scott as our contractor!

An entirely pleasant experience from the initial survey of the work to be done, all inclusive cost estimate, and completion of the work. Scott is an excellent craftsman who completed the work without delay and under the original high end estimate. Very professional yet cordial. I was pleased that I was only billed for the actual hours worked and the cost of materials without markup. The daily written progress reports with costs were unexpected, but greatly appreciated. Deck/Stairwell Repair: I live in a 12 year old home with a large second story deck with a stairwell up from the patio. I began to notice screws falling out, nails rusting off, side panels shifting, boards sliding, and the like when an article appeared showing a Denver deck falling 8 feet and seriously injuring the owner. I reacted quickly requesting estimates from several sources. I am so glad that I selected Home Improvement Express who did an outstanding job. Scott, the contractor assigned, was extremely professional and highly knowledgeable (also interesting and fun to be around). He systematically inspected all the various concerns and developed a step by step comprehensive plan. He noted that the design was very sound and the materials used high quality. It just turned out that in the rush to finish this one of the last homes, the subcontractors apparently applied poor finishing with screws and bolts too short and using non-galvanized nails that broke, while leaving off several pr
