This was my first "emergency" visit for my 6 1/2 year old daughter, and let me say this.. She was in pain last night, I quickly called around a few places, and when I say trust reviews, TRUST REVIEWS. As soon as I stepped foot into this location they immediately took her in the back and got to work. I didn't even get to check in yet! She ended up peeing herself and was terrified to be taken out of the bag. She is not the vet-friendly type of cat. They handled her with so much CARE and comfort. Safe to say, this emergency vet is AFFORDABLE and they are extremely communicative to those who do not have pet insurance. They actually care, and they listen to all of your concerns. They saved my baby, she now has treatment, and I couldn't thank them enough. I even shed some tears due to how grateful I was. I feel a bit bad I was not able to get everyone's name, but Dr. Casey, and EVERYONE who assisted with my cat Sindel... Thank you so much. You guys make the world a better place.

No other Vet ER in NYC has ratings as high as VEG ER for good reason. We came in yesterday for head trauma and was seen promptly. The three doctors who treated my dog: Dr. Donahue, Dr. Russell, and Dr. Turturro were capable and meticulous, discussing the symptoms and possible causes with patience and an emphasis that I understood everything that was happening. They took the situation seriously and made me feel like my dog was getting the best care possible. The support staff like Nathaniel were kind and patient too, making sure we had everything we needed, offering us water and snacks, and helped clean up an accident. They were proactive and accurate with time estimates which is rare for ER vets. I appreciate that they weren't pushy with any treatment plans, made sure to explain everything like the financial estimate and breakdowns multiple times, and that I understood everything that was happening every step of the way. All the vets and technicians were wonderful! My cat had to be hospitalized to be unblocked after having urinary issues and they were super accommodating and took excellent care. They let us stay in the room with him up until the point of hospitalization. All three vets took very good care and explained the procedure as well as recovery care very well.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who worked that evening (1/19/26), especially the front desk staff who provided so much comfort and helped with aftercare. If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation, VEG is exactly where you want to be. VEG Williamsburg was incredible during the hardest night of my life. From the moment we arrived, we were given a private room, accurate wait times, and compassionate, unrushed care. Every staff member was kind, empathetic, and took the time to sit with us, explain our options clearly, and let us decide at our own pace and without judgment or pressure. Dr. Blake Marie Jones and the entire team showed exceptional bedside manner. When we ultimately had to make the devastating decision to euthanize our cat, they gave us a peaceful, private space and all the time we needed, handling everything with dignity and care. One detail that really stayed with me: while we were sitting on the floor with our cat, talking through our options, every staff mem
