I highly recommend this driving school, I just passed my road test in Red Hook after failing previously and I know that the lessons I received from Morris, Otto, & Jose were what made up the difference. All of them were especially kind and attentive, I felt that my questions were always answered and they gave me good critiques on what I needed to improve on. Driving in the West & East Village can be intimidating but after a few lessons you will have so much more confidence. Thank you to Confident Driving School for helping me pass my road test! The online registration process was simple and straightforward. Scheduling was easy. I signed up for 10 classes. I worked with Jose and Morris. Not only did they taught me the basics that covered the road test, but they also showed me real-life driving etiquettes and safety guidance that a textbook would not be able to teach you. They were patient instructors and provided clear guidance with detailed explanations. These are qualities you want from instructors teaching you how to drive one of the most hectic cities to drive in. Scheduling the road test was quick with Morris. My instructor Otto was amazing at both making me comfortable and confident at the wheel, and explaining all details of the road test to prepare me for specific maneuvers and tasks that are tested by the DMV. Class scheduling was easy, with many spots available every week. The school’s management was extremely responsive, efficiently scheduling the test. Additionally, I should mention that the pickup spot (right around the w14th street A train station) for my classes was extremely convenient for those living on Manhattan, and learning to drive around that area was great for experiencing and getting used to driving conditions in NYC. I ended up passing the test from the first attempt, with all of my preparation coming from the Confident Driver driving school. I definitely recommend their services! Thank you!

I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn how to drive. You will not regret it. I’ve never driven before in my life and at 27, I finally received my driver’s license after taking lessons here. All the instructors are wonderful and you won’t be having any problems taking lessons with any of them. Otto, Omari, Jose and Morris are all great teachers. I tend to feel overly cautious while behind the wheel, but their positive attitude and support made me feel more at ease and allowed me to learn better.
