Nearly two years ago, while researching daycares, I discovered Hope Day School. Initially, I had a list of several schools, which I narrowed down based on proximity, public reviews, and reported incidents. From the outset, something about the photos shared online and philosophies on Hope’s website resonated with me. After touring many schools, Hope felt warm and inviting. The Executive Director and Assistant Director took the time to get to know our family and share their holistic approach and comprehensive curriculum, which includes nature, art, spirituality, nutrition, and open-ended play. Observing families dropping off their children gave me comfort as a first-time mom. My husband and I left with a strong, positive feeling. We applied to a few schools and ultimately chose Hope. It was the practical choice due to cost, availability, and location, but more importantly, it felt right. A year later, our daughter still lights up when she arrives in the morning and eagerly reaches out

We love it here! Our first child attended from 5 mos to 5 years and our youngest has attended since 5 months. The teachers and kids are like a second family. In my experience, the kids at Hope have distinctly great personal and language skills. They do a wonderful job of developing young minds and hearts through a nature and play based philosophy. No screen time and the small classes allow a lot of personal interaction and attention. Also, the food is fantastic—they do a great job of introducing a variety of foods in a way that kids find palatable. We absolutely love it!!

Our daughter has been attending Hope Day School since she was 14 weeks old. We have loved our experience at the school! It is a deeply loving and caring environment. We love all the teachers and I really appreciate how much they get to know and understand my daughter. The teachers share fun stories of her from the day and I am always able to catch up on details of how she is doing in the class. It makes me feel comfortable knowing how much they care for her and she enjoys going to school. I am also thankful for the administration, as well as Mrs. Tirzah Moore, the executive director. I was able to talk with Mrs. Moore, unscheduled, during drop off, about my daughter and how to get her ready for school after daycare as well as the role Hope Day will play in that readiness. I have found that all the administration and teachers will always take the time to meet and talk with you and I really appreciate that accessibility. Our daughter has attended Hope Day School since she was 12 weeks old. We could not be happier with our school decision. The teachers and administrators have been amazing. The teachers are so patient, kind, and truly care for each child. Even other class teachers and staff members all know our daughter. She is happy when we drop her off and she is happy when we get her at the end of the day. In addition to the loving staff, the school offerings are convenient for two working parents. Students are given breakfast, lunch, and a snack each day. The menu is healthy, seasonal, and well balanced. The school is a hidden gem in a city with many options and we are so lucky we found it.

When my son began his journey at this daycare two months ago, it was a thrilling new chapter for both of us! It was his first time stepping away from family care, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of anxiety and anticipation. However, the moment we walked through those doors, I was completely reassured by the incredible staff. We are transitioning as our daughter starts PK at a new school, but we truly could not have done it without the staff at Hope Day School preparing her for this next step. From day one, we were so impressed with the warmth, professionalism, and care the team provides. Ms. Stephanie has been absolutely wonderful — she is so sweet, kind, and thoughtful, and made every day a positive experience. Tirzah and Shannon have incredible conflict resolution skills and a sincere desire to serve the families in their community. They approach every situation with fairness, compassion, and a real sense of partnership. The environment at Hope Day School has helped our daughter build confidence, advance her social skills, and succeed with potty training thanks to their amazing support. It’s long overdue to give this review to one of the best experiences I had with daycares. This place is amazing to say the least. The staff from the directors (Mrs Terzah and Mrs Shannon) to the teachers Ms Jessica and Ms Maria are all amaaazing. I never felt anxious to leave them there for the whole day. Most importantly, my kids loved going there. Although my kids brought their own meals due to food allergies, their menu is by far the best nutritious meals I have seen and I am a very picky mom when it comes to food with my kids. They made so many of their meals at their kitchen and so much variety and healthy meals it resembles a nice restaurant menu. My kids moved on to another school as they grew to go to prek but I want to thank the staff publicly and also reassure moms that decided to come to HDS that ur kiddos are in safe hands. This place is a real hidden gem! And they accommodate different diets. We are a vegan family and it has been lovely here. Our son has shown so much growth and we love how he is finding his own creative voice and building his relationship to Mother Nature. They do a great job helping him develop into his own person and with a love for learning. They are connected to a church, but those that aren’t Christian should know that the teachings are not heavy-handed and Bible-Thumping. It’s all just about being a considerate good person.
