Carefree Boat club is the best! We had so much fun this summer getting to know the Long Island Sound and this week went up the Connecticut River. In California, we went out from the club in Marina Del Ray into the Pacific Ocean and saw the Santa Monica Pier and Malibu from a great vantage point. Dolphins swam right by us. It was the highlight of our trip. My husband got his boat license, trained on all the different boats with Captain John and took the navigation course. The boat has GPS on board so you can see just how deep the water is. It even tracks where you go so you can follow your tracks back to the dock. The staff has been wonderful. After we got comfortable on the boat we took friends and family out. My daughter accused us of joining the club so we can get them to visit from Philadelphia more often! Well that's just a bonus.You get to have a boat without the worry and expense. What a great idea and a great club. We will be members for a long time.

We are members of a Carefree boat club out of South Florida, and we were recently able to use one of our remote reservations out of the Captains Cove location in Bridgeport as our family participated in the 2019 Swim Across the Sound charity event.The entire team at this location was wonderful! The owner was very cooperative in our family being able to pick up the boat early so that we could participate in the event on time, and the boat was in amazing shape! The dock staff was very knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely seemed like a kind group of people!If you're looking for boating without owning and have a chance to be a member of a really great boat club, this really is the location for you!A big thanks again to everyone at the Carefree Captains Cove location for helping us make the day great and for their support of our family participating in the 2019 St. Vincent's Swim Across the Sound foundation.

Great location, excellent staff. We've been boating with Carefree for over five years. We get far more days of enjoyment in than by owning our boat. They maintain and refuel the boats for you so you're not spending two hours waiting at the Westport gas dock on a weekend. Highly recommend if you're interested in small (21 to 25-feet) powerboating.
