We're about a month into our 10yo participating in Rock 101 and 1:1 drum lessons. Playing drums isn't new for our boy, but playing in a band is and he's liking it so far. We've signed him up as much for the social element as the instrument instruction element. He's making friends and getting more comfortable by the week. We've been encouraging him from the start to also try singing with the group. He was too shy the first few weeks, but told us after last weekend's Rock 101 that he sang during a song that another student was playing drums for, and he loved it. We're very happy with the whole experience so far.
