Don't sleep on Point Blank. Besides the engaging and cutting-edge programs, Point Blank is place where collaboration and community is at its core. I took an audio engineering program with absolutely 0 knowledge, but with the goal of being able to mic, record, and mix drums. I know have the skills that I've desperately been searching for to achieve a life-long goal of mine thanks to Point Blank. Outside of the incredible instructors, you learn so much from just being in the same building and interacting with other students. Truly a place that values its students and their success.

What an Incredible school! I came to this school ten weeks ago as a singer-songwriter. I had always wanted to learn how to produce music, and after only one term of classes... I can produce songs from start to finish! Crazy! The Point-Blank difference is the super knowledgeable teachers and staff. The Instructors all love music and are passionate about teaching. They are experts in their field, work in the music industry, and want you to learn! The learning environment is excellent. Sergio, the student services administrator, spent so much time ensuring I had all the suitable classes to reach my goals; his charisma and enthusiasm always made me feel welcomed and excited for my production journey. I couldn't wait to get to school, a musical Disneyland filled with MIDI keyboards, synths, recording studios, Drums, and DJ studios. I can't wait to take more classes! Absolutely love Point Blank Music School. Compared to other music schools I’ve checked out, this one stands out for being more than just about music, it’s about community, creativity, and real growth as an artist.What I love most is the hands-on experience. They have a full DJ room, and you can rent out instruments like piano, guitar, or honestly anything you want to try, they’ll help you get access. The class sizes are small, so you really get personalized attention. My young adult child took classes at Point Blank right out of high school and he had an amazing experience. He loved his instructors and his classes and will likely return for more training and instruction at some point in his developing music career. As parents, we also had many interactions with the staff at Point Blank, and they were always helpful and accommodating, especially Jay and Sergio. Truly an amazing music school! Went in having never used Ableton or sung before and graduated with everything I need to be able to produce, write, record, mix, and master my own music. Instructors were always willing to answer questions and give advice from their own experience as a professional in the music industry. I was even able to ask questions about what it’s like to be an artist and how to handle everything from releasing your own music to performing your music. Forum Friday is also a great way to have your music listened to by professionals and receive feedback on how to improve. Something to keep in mind though, different instructors will have different answers for your questions and even different opinions on what direction your song/music should take. I recommend taking the advice that works for you and disregarding what does not work for you or doesn’t feel right. Utilizing time outside of classes is very important, and they also give opportunities for students to connect

I had a great time here, was hesitant on committing, but the 4-hour classes are an excellent chunk of time. Professors are passionate and knowledgeable, rest of the staff warms up towards you after seeing you more often. My only wish is that they would notify you of the schedule for the classes further ahead of time, they don’t give you the class schedule until a week before the quarter starts.

Finances offer are at fair prices and are always willing to work with your budget. Scheduling are morning and afternoons turns. I absolutely LOVED my experience at point blank. I've been drawn to Point blank for years already because I lived in London and that's obviously where their main campus is located. I ended up attending the Los Angeles campus and it's been the most amazing time ever. I have met some people that I believe will be friends and collaborators for many years to come, and I also learnt literally everything I could have desired and imagined. I came to this school with some music production knowledge but the course I took (audio engineering & music production) has taken my skills to the next level. I adored all the teachers at this school, I truly learnt so much off of them! thank you to point blank for such an incredible experience.

I’ve taken 2 quarters here so far and it’s been a great experience! The teachers are knowledgeable and the staff are super nice and helpful. They host several events each quarter, some of which are performance opportunities for students.In terms of curriculum, it is on the more basic side and pretty general as far as genre focus, so it might be more helpful if you’re just starting out with production, but there are still useful things to learn for everyone. I really loved my singing and audio engineering classes in particular, as those were subjects I had little to no prior instruction on. There are 3 studio rooms that are equipped with studio monitors, mics, and some outboard gear. Overall, would recommend if you’re looking to start producing music or want to level up!
