I’ve been bleaching my hair for years, and if you’re a blonde who understands the commitment (and the fear), you’ll know how serious this review is. Aerea Salon NYC is the only place I fully trust with my hair. As a middle-aged blonde who keeps her color very light, my hair has been through it — bleach, toner, touch-ups, you name it. Context: Needed last minute color touch up & blow out for event. I’m in the middle of a multi-step soft grey-blonde blending process, transitioning from a richer brown blonde ombré to a lighter cool blonde blend so my roots don’t have as much contrast when they grow out. The top line: their team did great & I would absolutely go back again. Booking: Their online booking was efficient & effective & they edged out the competition because I could just instantly book & didn’t have to wait for a call back or email or text back and forth. I was traveling & it was a life saver for a next day emergency appt. Just make sure you book for the appropriate block of time, even if you decide to change up services when you consult w/ stylist at beginning of session. As with any salon, ask for prices after initial consult but before stylist starts in on your hair to make sure you’re aligned. I walked in still open/deciding on what exact service & treatment would meet my goals & Anissa was great about
