Weltec Engineering is seeking motivated Apprentice Plumbers & Pipefitters to join our team in Limerick. If you're looking to start a rewarding career and gain valuable experience, this is an excellent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist qualified tradespeople in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and mechanical pipework systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
• Prepare tools, materials, and work areas for daily tasks and ensure proper storage after use.
• Install and assemble pipework for water supply, heating, cooling, and drainage systems under supervision.
• Measure, cut, and prepare pipes (copper, steel, plastic) according to specs.
• Fit sanitary ware, valves, pumps, and mechanical components as directed.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics with guidance from supervisors.
• Perform pressure and leak tests on completed installations to ensure compliance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with other trades for integrated system installations.
• Document work completed and report progress to supervisors.
• Participate in training and upskilling programs to develop technical knowledge and practical skills.
Key Skills and Competencies:
• Enthusiasm for learning and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications.
• A minimum of O4 in leaving cert maths
