Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial operations. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of economic data, support strategic decision-making, and ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a growing organization with diverse accounting needs across corporate, non-profit, and governmental environments.
Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and record journal entries accurately wacross various accounting software platforms, includingthin various accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and others.
• Conduct general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure all financial data is precise and up-to-date.
• Perform account analysis and account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
• Generate detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for internal use and external reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and applicable tax regulations by maintaining meticulous records of financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting processes and provide insights for financial planning and analysis.
• Support year-end closing activities, audit preparation, and tax-related documentation with thorough documentation of all financial activities.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or accountant with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other relevant platforms.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus.
• Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, account analysis, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to interpret financial data accurately and communicate findings clearly through financial report writing.
• Basic typing skills (10 key) for efficient data entry; familiarity with governmental or public accounting is advantageous.
