About this role

Fully remote, flexible contract role for a Principal Python Engineer at Alignerr Opportunity to design and build data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems for AI labs Design, build, and optimize high-performance Python systems for AI data pipelines Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for data annotation and validation

Responsibilities

Improve reliability, performance, and safety of existing Python codebases
Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable fixes in data and system behavior
Participate in design reviews to drive architectural decisions
Who You Are

Native or fluent English speaker with strong communication skills
5+ years of Python experience in large-scale infrastructure or platform engineering
Deep expertise in distributed computing systems and asynchronous concurrency patterns
Solid understanding of Python internals and performance optimization
