About this role

Rockstar Music is a network of university-educated musicians, teachers and recording industry professionals. We provide private, one-on-one, in-home and online music lessons, as well as community-based music programs, including Rock Bands, Preschool and Ukulele Jams. Rockstar Music is currently hiring a Brass Instructor (Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba) in the Calgary, AB area.

Responsibilities

Encourage the joy of making music
Help students develop the discipline and commitment required for success
Make learning just as fun as making music itself
Building a strong relationship with the students to better help them succeed

Give brief feedback to parents at the end of every lesson

How to Apply

Required Skills & Experience

A reliable vehicle to get to and from lessons. No public transit or bikes.
Reliable, patient, open-minded and enjoy working with children
Able to work independently with limited to no supervision

Able to teach technique and repertoire in a fun, engaging manner
Post-secondary and RCM education is considered an asset
ECEs & Ontario Certified Teachers are encouraged with rate premiums
