About this role Hourly Contract position with Alignerr, fully remote, requiring 10-40 hours/week commitment. Design complex engineering problems, author ground-truth solutions, audit technical reasoning, and correct reasoning failures to improve AI models.
Responsibilities Craft advanced challenges in FEA, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and material science Develop precise technical solutions and benchmark "golden responses" for AI models Review AI outputs for accuracy and compliance with engineering standards Identify and correct logical errors to enhance AI reasoning
Required Skills & Experience Strong expertise in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes Experience in data annotation, technical writing, or evaluation systems Familiarity with AI/ML workflows or large language model evaluation Clear technical communicator with attention to detail Meticulous and precise in reviewing mathematical proofs and physical system constraints Proficiency in engineering software like SolidWorks, ANSYS, or MATLAB Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field No AI experience required
