About this role

About the position The Sr. Financial Analyst assists the System Director of Financial Planning and Analysis in providing financial accountability for UofL Health, budget and financial planning/forecasting. The role involves performing various operations analytics duties throughout the month, including data querying, spreadsheet design and maintenance, trending and KPI monitoring. The analyst provides operational financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting, statistical and budgetary data, and preparing reports. Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance on assigned projects, engaging appropriate stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Ensure integration of financial planning tools among management teams for strategic decision-making processes.
• Consult on finance-related issues and notify of material issues impacting financial performance.
• Work directly with the Director of Financial Operations and Operational leadership to analyze financial data.

• Provide 'lessons learned' to the System Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
• Assist with the development and implementation of the Market-wide capital and operating budget.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to complete and maintain annual operating budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Analyze variances from budgets/forecasts and communicate findings to operations management.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of three years in accounting, finance or analytics required.
• Healthcare and system experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves
• Master's degree in Finance or related field preferred.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
