Position Overview
This position involves teaching a blended-age classroom of students, nurturing both academic growth and spiritual development in a faith-centered environment. The school provides a curriculum for each student, and the teacher will be responsible for implementing it effectively, while meeting individual learning needs. This is a full-time position for a 10-month academic year, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
General Responsibilities
• Adapt instruction to meet varying developmental and academic levels while following the provided curriculum.
• Integrate Christian values and biblical teaching into daily instruction and classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behavior with consistency and grace.
• Assess student progress and communicate effectively with parents and school leadership.
• Collaborate with staff and administration to support the school’s mission and goals.
• Exhibit a willingness to adjust to changing roles and responsibilities in order to best support students and school operations.
Qualifications
• Experience teaching early elementary grades (K-2 preferred)
• Teaching certification or education degree preferred (or relevant credit hours)
• Commitment to the Christian faith
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
